Located in Shaughnessy Heights, Canuck Place was once called Glen Brae. The 16,000 square foot residence was built at the turn-of-the-century for a lumber baron. The home’s last owner left the residence to the City of Vancouver in 1991, with the sole stipulation that it be used to benefit the community. It took over $4 million and two years to renovate Glen Brae and transform its home-like quality, which is integral to the hospice care program.
