Calgary Foundation has nurtured a healthy, vibrant and caring community since 1955. We've been able to do this thanks to the thousands of people over the past six decades who've given back to their community and stepped up to join us on the journey.
If you care about a cause and want to affect change, you can make a donation. When you take that step with Calgary Foundation, you become part of the community we rely on to help steward funds - meaning resources are amplified with greater capacity for impact.
A Canadian tax receipt will be issued for donations $25.00 and over in the cardholders name only. The Income Tax Act does not permit Calgary Foundation to issue tax receipts to anyone other than the donor (the person whose name is on the credit card).
For credit card donations equal to, or exceeding $5,000, the transaction fee (as determined by the payment card processing company) will be charged against the donation. Donors will receive a tax receipt for the full value of their donation.
For all donations made into a Donor Advised Fund, subsequent distributions to registered charitable organizations are recommended by Fund Founders and/or their designated Fund Contacts.
Monthly donations are processed on the 15th of each month, with a tax receipt issued at the end of each year for all donations processed during the year.
